How to take the first steps required to onboard Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM

We have talked previously about the fear that many organization leaders have of leaping into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) world of Microsoft Dynamics 365.

For, while they recognise the need to improve their customer flow, they are often nervous about “derailing” a successful operation by introducing tech that needs evaluation, onboarding, and training for the staff.

And that their current processes need to be broken down to establish how to recreate them in the Dynamics environment. The dreaded “Requirements Definition” workshops.

We talk to them about how they can improve their sales funnel and then efficiently manage workflows throughout the company. With some clients this may ultimately span Marketing, Sales, Product/Service Delivery, Customer Service and Finance - configured across a number of Phases, as each previous has been bedded in.

How they can automate many of their outdated manual processes, freeing up their people’s time to do better quality work. And, yes, to save on costs, speed the business up and be competitive.

    Yet still they are nervous

I don’t blame them, but Solutions Shared have done many of these first steps into digital transformation, this is our bread and butter.

We are here to support executives and their employees through the essential steps needed to modernise and improve.

I actually try to avoid the phrase “digital transformation” as it sounds so big and all-encompassing, implying that everything an organization did up to now was wrong, slow and old-fashioned.

The good news is that Microsoft have continually developed and improved Dynamics 365, so that it is highly flexible and scalable for small, medium and large organisations.

From sales to quotes to order to contracts to procurement and logistics, there is a seamless flow to the platform that works brilliantly. With additional tools such as document generation, Sharepoint, Teams, MS Office all available, it is relatively simple to up your game.

As we say, don’t try doing it yourself though. Hire professionals who can guide you through the steps that are needed for a successful implementation.

Work with us to lay out a clear step-by-step plan, that is manageable and transparent, one which doesn’t mean staff take their eye off the business ball, which has key stakeholders at all levels involved and engaged. Take into account training and any potential hurdles.

We are here to help you make the first steps.
